YOUR STORY IS ONLY A STORY, UNTIL YOU SHARE IT!
Two things make your story great:
1) You must SHARE it in order to help someone else
2) Your story must have a HAPPY ENDING
Following is a note I received:
To whom it May Interest,
On August 26th 2012 I met a man who, in sharing his testimony, spoke wisdom into my heart and witnessed as I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Duché Bradley is a passionate man with a story to tell. He spoke with intensity as he shared his life with the church. I remember sitting, fixated on him, as he paced the stage reliving his story. An unimaginable series of events led him to Christ and I am eternally grateful that he accepted the Lord’s invitation.
After 15 short days of living in Texas and two steady weeks of attending Champion Forest Baptist Church in Spring, Texas, I was made aware of Duché’s speaking and felt compelled to attend. We met earlier that morning and I had no clue of the impact he would make on my life just hours later.
Growing up, my family was Catholic but I never felt the connection that I found at CFBC. Almost instantly I felt drawn to the people and passion. Although I was still very skeptical, I prayed for an open heart and faithfully engaged in church and church activities. I was blessed to have new friends who openly sat with me for hours answering my questions and sharing their stories. I felt lost, but on that Sunday evening I was found.
After hearing Duché speak, I decided to become a member of the church and commit my life to Christ. I waited in line to share the birth of my new journey with Duché. He was overjoyed, as he hugged me and told me “Happy Birthday!” He then began to sing Happy Birthday to me with people who were surrounding us. I was so proud to share with him the good news. What a blessing for him to witness his struggles leading other people to Christ and for me, to now become a follower of Christ thanks to him. We took a picture that night that I cherish, on the most important day in my life.
Duché and I are friends and we stay in contact; it is an honor and a blessing to be a friend of Duché Bradley. A mentor, friend, and brother in Christ!
